Portland Artist Relief Fund

Our wonderful artist community needs your help right now.

As the City's official nonprofit arts agency, Creative Portland is taking the lead in creating an emergency relief fund for visual artists and performing artists in the gig economy, who are not eligible for unemployment. Many local artists have no savings and no income to buy groceries or prescriptions.

We have assembled a review committee of arts community leaders and stakeholders to select applicants and to disperse $500 stipends to help artists make ends meet. Our goal is to open the application process on March 30.

Our fundraising goals are ambitious, but we know that we will have limited funds (raised mostly on a grassroots level) to award working artists who are taking the biggest hit, due to this unforeseen time of shutdown. We will not be able to re-grant and award stipends to organizations or venues.
